A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain name, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality implies that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital in case you run some business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk emails, you can combine the catch-all feature with email filters in order to receive only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel offers quite a lot of features, but it’s astonishingly simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only one mouse click. All the email addresses that you have created will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given address. Our system will notify you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be activated effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll notice a small-size symbol handily located directly next to each of them. With only one single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option using the menu that will surface. If any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will notify you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
